Katrina Dogs - Paperback

A children’s book by author/ illustrator Donna Page. Katrina Dogs is the story of two dogs, brothers Bernie and Booger who reside with their family in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The mayor decrees that everyone evacuate the city but no pets are allowed on the buses. Left alone in their home, the story traces the dogs’ adventures during and after the storm. The story intends to historically educate and encourage animal rescue. Katrina Dogs features forty full page color illustrations which young audiences will enjoy reading for years to come. A percentage of all sales will be donated to an animal rescue organization.
